Classic Black Dragon Cheongsam
The Chinese dragon stands as a symbol of the great unity of the Chinese nation.It first appeared about six or seven thousand years ago and was used as totem by many nationalities both in the North and the South. The image of a dragon at first might look like a snake. But with the territorial annexations of different clans, the image turned out to be more and more complicated with the additions of a crocodile's feet, a horse's head, manes and tail, an ox's ear, a hare's eye, a tiger's nose, a fish's scales and beard, a dog's leg, an eagle's talons, a deer's antlers, etc. All of these additions can be testified either by historical records and relics or by folk customs and the appearance of the Chinese dragon in modern day Chinese clothes and clothings. The Chinese dragon image motifs & icons are often seen in Chinese kung fu suits, shirts, t-shirts, oriental cheongsam dresses or suits.
